Playing Flash video (FLV) in compiled publications

Flash® Video (FLV) is a file format used to deliver video over the Internet using Adobe® Flash Player. FLV video files are loaded and played inside existing Flash movies; thus Adobe Flash Player requires them to be physically available on the hard disk.

Important:

  • this feature is still experimental in HTML Executable 3.3.
  • Very large video files may not be supported (in fact video files may not play on computers with restrictions on the space dedicated to the Temporary Internet Files folder); please also keep in mind that video files must be unpacked to the hard disk in order to be played.
